Tanning happens when your skin is exposed to two different kinds of UV light: UVA and UVB.
UVA oxidizes melanin, the pigment that gives your skin its glow.
UVB triggers melanin production.
Both types of UV play an important role in the tanning process, and getting the balance right is crucial.

Tanning Tips
-
Prepare your Skin.
Your perfect tan starts before you set foot in the bed. You’ll want to shower, shave and exfoliate at least a day or two before your tan. Exfoliating is especially important, however if you don’t have time for a deep exfoliation, using a loofah, brush or bath puff will work okay too.
Check Your Prescriptions
Check to make sure you aren’t on any medications that increase skin sensitivity to UV rays.
Apply SPF to your lips prior to tanning.
-
Protect the peepers. Not only do we require it, so does the law. Your eyes are important - save them the best you can.
Apply indoor tanning oil. Ask our experts or visit the store front to purchase your next fav lotion. Outdoor lotions are bad for the bed and do not lead to a tan that lasts. Apply an even layer all over your body.
Get Naked? or as naked as you’d like. BUT remember those delicate areas that are not expose to light often are more sensitive to burn.
-
Safety First, always. Do NOT tan within 24hours of each tan.
Keep Glowing Longer
A tan extender is the best way to keep your glow going longer and will hydrate your skin. Helping to achieve longer-lasting results.
Tanning 1-3 times a week is ideal for maintaining your color.
